Fu-hsi & Nu-wa is a painting which is an authentic silk fabric discovered in a grave in Sinkiang Province of Mainland China. Fu-shi, Father of the universe, was born with the face of a man and with the body of Chi Lin (Chi Lin is a remarkable animal which resembles the deer said to appear only during a time of peace and prosperity). Nu-wa, Mother of the universe, was born with the face of a woman but with the body of a snake.
Fu Shi brandished a ruler and Nu Wa held a pair of dividers. The mythology claims that they use the measurement tools to create the whole universe.
