Dr. Tzeng-Yow Lin has been appointed to be Director of National Measurement Laboratory R.O.C. as of February 22, 2016.  

Dr. Lin received his Ph.D. degree in manufacturing at the University of Birmingham, U.K. in 1993 with abundant experiences in strategic planning and management, measurement and standard technologies, precision engineering and quality engineering.  He is now the General Director of the Center for Measurement Standards of Industry Technology Research Institute (CMS/ITRI), the Co-chair of SEMI FPD Technical Committee, Taiwan Representative of SEMI ISC, and Chief Secretary of CIE-Taiwan. 

Dr. Lin joined CMS/ITRI in 1985.  He has been actively involved in the establishment and maintenance of national measurement laboratory and made continuous efforts to work with other NMIs (National Measurement Institutes) for international equivalence.  He keeps contributing the best to metrology and standardization communities worldwide towards a prosperous global partnership.
