Currency

The currency of Taiwan is the New Taiwan Dollar (NT$).
Paper Currency: NT$ 2,000, NT$ 1,000, NT$ 500, NT$ 200, and NT$ 100
Coins: NT$ 50, NT$ 20, NT$ 10, NT$ 5, and NT$ 1

Currency Exchange

Foreign currencies can be exchanged at government-designated banks, airports, and hotels. Receipts are provided when currency is exchanged, and they must be presented to exchange any unused NT dollars before departure.

Climate

Taiwan enjoys a subtropical climate with warm, mild weather year-round. The average temperature in Hsinchu during the meeting is between 28 °C and 32 °C.

Language

The official language in Taiwan is Mandarin Chinese, spoken widely across the island. English is commonly used in hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers, making communication convenient for travelers. Most taxi drivers also have some proficiency in English. To ensure a smooth journey, it is advised to have the address of your destination written down.

Dress Code

Business attire is appropriate for meetings, while smart casual dress is suitable for social events.

Electricity Power Supply

The standard voltage is 110 V with a 60 Hz frequency, and the common plug types are Type A and Type B.

Consumer electronics (such as laptops, smartphones, etc.) are typically designed to work within a voltage range of 110 V to 240 V. It is recommended that delegates bring a suitable plug adapter if the plug type in your home country differs from those used in Taiwan.
