Introduction
The Laboratory has established standards in the chemistry fields for providing calibration service to the domestic industry. The major services we provided include the development and dissemination of certified reference materials, calibration and performance test verification for gas concentration analyzers and PM2.5 sensing devices, and Contract research & consultancy, etc. The Laboratory has passed the assessment of the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF), which recognizes as the first lab in domestic for the competence of reference material producers (R001), and also the ISO/IEC 17025 calibration field certification laboratory (N2346).
Research Projects
- Standard gas production and concentration verification: The standard gas is produced with high pressure and its concentration is determined by gravimetric method.
- Dynamic preparation and concentration verification of trace & reactive standard gases(formaldehyde/water/ozone/SO2)
The figure above is dynamic preparation and concentration verification system for formaldehyde. The concentration of formaldehyde gas is determined by the mass loss of the paraformaldehyde permeation tube and flow rate of gas.
- Metal element metrology standard: Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) equipped with high cleanliness facility to establish metal element concentration standards, measurement range from ppm to ppt.
